Data Deletion
Last updated: July 24, 2026
This page explains how to delete data associated with accounts you connect to The Beacon, including Instagram and other third-party services.
Where your connected-account data lives
The Beacon is a desktop application. When you connect an account, its access token is stored on your own device, encrypted at rest using your operating system’s secure storage. Content fetched from that account — posts, profile details, media — is used to answer your request on your device and is not copied to our servers. We do not keep a server-side copy of your connected-account content or tokens.
Delete a single connected account
- Open The Beacon.
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find the connected service and choose Disconnect.
Disconnecting removes that service’s stored tokens and cached results from your device immediately. The app can no longer reach the account.
Revoke access from the provider’s side
You can also revoke The Beacon’s access directly with the provider, which works even if you no longer have the app installed:
- Instagram: Instagram app → Settings and privacy → Website permissions → Apps and websites → remove The Beacon.
- Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Other services: use the connected-apps or authorized-apps section of that account’s settings.
Delete everything, including your Beacon account
Uninstalling the app removes on-device data. To also delete the account and billing information held on our servers (your sign-in email and subscription status), email privacy@studioaices.com from the address you signed up with, and we will delete it within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal, accounting, or tax purposes.
