Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of The Beacon (the “Service”), a desktop application and website provided by Studio Aices (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@studioaices.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

Subscription and billing

The Service is offered on a recurring subscription billed through Stripe. The price and billing period are shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then.

If you are a consumer in the European Union you have a statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days of purchase. Because the Service is supplied digitally and immediately, by starting to use it you request immediate performance and acknowledge that your withdrawal right ends once the Service has been fully supplied. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights in your country.

Bring your own AI keys

The Service requires you to supply your own API keys for the AI providers you use. Those keys are stored encrypted on your device and are never transmitted to us. You are solely responsible for your use of those providers, for any charges they bill you, and for complying with their terms. We do not control and are not responsible for their availability, pricing, or output.

Connected third-party services

The Service lets you connect third-party accounts (for example Instagram, Google, or Slack) so it can act on your behalf. You may only connect accounts you own or are authorized to use, and your use of each service remains subject to that provider’s own terms and policies. You can disconnect an account at any time; see our Data Deletion page.

AI-generated output

The Service uses AI models to generate interfaces, text, and actions. Output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable, and it is not professional advice of any kind. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it, and particularly before allowing the Service to take actions that affect your accounts or data.

Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the Service, including its software, design, and branding. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for the duration of your subscription. Content you create with the Service belongs to you, subject to the rights of the AI providers and third-party services involved.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will remain compatible with any third-party platform, whose APIs may change or be withdrawn at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service, in which case we will give reasonable notice and refund any prepaid, unused portion of your subscription.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you reside.
